Angelina Jolie ROCKS in SALT

WHO IS "SALT"

I was very privileged to have been invited to watch the Red Carpet Premiere of "SALT" at SM Megamall Cinema 6.  Thank you Columbia Pictures Philippines and SM Cinema.
Movie Synopsis:

Before becoming a CIA officer, Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) swore an oath to duty, honor, and country. She will prove loyal to these when a defector accuses her of being a Russian sleeper spy. Salt goes on the run, using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture, protect her husband, and stay one step ahead of her colleagues at the CIA.

Now for my review.  The movie starts slow with Evelyn Salt being taken back into custody of the United States and being rescued from the grasps of North Korea, where she was a spy undercover.  It correlates how she was then connected to her husband and her colleagues in the CIA.

Everything changes when a defector names her as the one who will kill the president.  She then defends herself from the accusations and finds her way back to her husband to protect him as well.  Not knowing what lies ahead.  What follows is a twisted maze of car chases, loud explosions, and a lot of "Jolie" coolness.  The plot is smart and very intriguing, and you will be at the edge of your seats watching the great stunts.

I would not want to give spoilers to you, so you better watch it for yourselves, it will be a wild ride.  No one else is fit to play this part but Angelina Jolie, by the way just in case some of you might not know, the role Angelina took was intended for a male action star that is why in the early stages of the production, the film was named Edwin A. Salt.  Aren't you just glad Angelina took the part.
Get ready for a wild ride with "Mrs. Smith" sexiness and "Bourne" spectacular spy coolness.  The best woman spy flick of this year, and maybe for a long time to come.

"Salt" opens in all SM Cinemas and all major cinemas on July  28, 2010.
Brought to us by Columbia Pictures Philippines.
Starring Angelina Jolie and Directed by Philip Noyce
