The Fruitas Group of Companies (FGC) continues the celebration of its 15th year in business by going back to its roots and revisiting the place where it sold its first fruit shake in 2002.

FGC Founder and Chief Executive Officer Lester Yu started his fruitful journey 15 years ago when he risked everything he had to put up the first Fruitas stall in SM Manila. With the ambition of making fresh and healthy drinks accessible to more Filipinos, Yu was determined to work hard to make the business grow. Along with his initial team, Yu took on different roles and opened stores one at a time. Soon, the company was able to develop new brands and offered different food concepts to Filipinos.

Fast forward to 2017, FGC has become a household brand in fresh beverages and food concepts, housing over 20 brands, establishing over 800 stalls nationwide and providing jobs to over 1,500 employees. From a single kiosk that only served an average 100 cups a day, Fruitas is now serving millions of customers nationwide.

“Our company has grown strong throughout the years, and it wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for our loyal customers who have been patronizing our products since we opened here in SM Manila,” said Lester Yu, Founder and CEO of Fruitas Group of Companies. “We remember starting out slow back then but we are glad to have endured and thrived in the business before healthy lifestyle became a trend.”

For FGC, going back to the very first mall that warmly welcomed the brand has made the company realize how far the company has gone, and how far they could go.

A healthy treat; a meet and greet

The journey of the Fruitas Group of Companies only proves how the company has been successful in its business model, and its capability to adapt to trends. FGC has managed to cater to the demands, and exceed expectations across different demographics throughout generations.

As part of the company’s continuing celebration of its 15th anniversary, Fruitas Group of Companies revisited its very first Fruitas stall in SM Manila prepared with a treat to its customers.

Fruitas brand ambassador, actress and model Jasmine Curtis-Smith experienced being a Fruitas server in the original store in SM Manila. Over 150 Fruitas customers were treated to a free Fruitas shake of their choice, and had the chance to interact with the local celebrity. Curtis-Smith was also able to share how she’s able to keep a healthy lifestyle with Fruitas.

“This is one of our efforts of being able to thank our consumers and encourage other Filipinos to get into a healthier lifestyle. With the continuous support of our customers, we plan to move forward and become the leader in bringing the freshest products and brands in the country,” Yu said.
