The new 11th Generation Intel Core H-series mobile processors (code-named “Tiger Lake-H”) launched worldwide today, led by the flagship Intel Core i9-11980HK — the “World’s Best Gaming Laptop Processor.” The Intel Core i9-11980HK delivers the highest-performance in laptops for gaming, content creators and business professionals reaching speeds of up to 5.0 gigahertz (GHz).

Intel launches its most advanced performance data center

 

Intel recently launched its most advanced, highest performance data center platform optimized to power the industry’s broadest range of workloads — from the cloud to the network to the intelligent edge. New 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors (code-named “Ice Lake”) are the foundation of Intel’s data center platform, enabling customers to capitalize on some of the most significant business opportunities today by leveraging the power of AI.

New 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors deliver a significant performance increase compared with the prior generation, with an average 46% improvement on popular data center workloads. The processors also add new and enhanced platform capabilities including Intel SGX for built-in security, and Intel Crypto Acceleration and Intel DL Boost for AI acceleration. These new capabilities, combined with Intel’s broad portfolio of Intel® Select Solutions and Intel® Market Ready Solutions, enable customers to accelerate deployments across cloud, AI, enterprise, HPC, networking, security and edge applications.

Starmobile scores big win at 2014 Intel Solutions Summit


Local mobile brand Starmobile recently received the Outstanding Leadership in Vertical Design Win award at the 2014 Intel Solutions Summit (ISS) in Singapore. The award acknowledges Starmobile’s recent collaboration with Intel to launch the ENGAGE 9i, the country’s first Intel® Atom™ processor-powered full high definition tablet, early this year. Intel: Tablets and 2-in-1s will be key drivers of mobility growth in PH


Global leader in computing innovation Intel recently held the Intel Mobility Day to showcase the latest host of devices for increased connectivity and productivity. This year, Intel is set to drive its solid line of tablet devices and full-performance 2-in-1s to provide consumers options at the best value.

According to Intel Philippines country manager Calum Chisholm, the tablet market in the Philippines continues to increase exponentially and is expected to post a 40 percent growth this year. As both multinational companies and local game changers present more choices in Android and Windows platforms, Intel’s technology will remain the mark of excellence. Chisholm further adds that the company is working closely with its OEM partners to integrate its leading 64-bit technology to increase mobile performance and storage capacity.

Intel rolls out rebuilding program for storm-hit school infrastructure in Leyte‏


In line with its commitment to improve education, Intel Foundation together with its employees worldwide, today announced ongoing efforts to rebuild the Sto. Niño Elementary School in Tanauan, Leyte, which was damaged by Typhoon Yolanda. Intel has partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) and country’s largest corporate-led social development organization Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) to implement the reconstruction program aimed at reestablishing an even better and stronger school for students and teachers of the municipality.


“At Intel, we believe that education must remain a primary concern in times of adversity in order to inspire and prepare the youth for the global challenges ahead. Intel transforms local classrooms into interactive learning hubs

 Education tablets deployed in Davao and Makati public schools

Intel Philippines today announced that it has partnered with leading education technology solutions provider FELTA Multi-Media Inc. to enable an education transformation initiative in local public schools through Intel Education Solutions (IES). Earlier this year, Intel helped transform local classrooms in Davao into interactive learning environments by training teachers and donating 25 Intel Education Tablets and solar power equipment to the Marilog Central Elementary School (MCES). Intel is now able to engage more schools in tablet-assisted education with the recent acquisition of 750 tablets by the Department of Education in Makati.

As the Philippines is projected to become one of the fastest-growing economies in ASEAN, education plays an even more important role in producing a high-quality workforce for future jobs. “We feel that this initiative is very timely, given the urgent call for engaging and interactive education in the country. We are optimistic that our investment in the Intel Education Tablet will help equip these students – who make up the next generation of the Filipino workforce – for the increasingly digital future and workplace,” said Dr. Dominico Idanan, Superintendent, Department of Education, Makati.

The Intel Digital Pinoy Campus Challenge, an interschool quiz competition among twelve colleges and universities, wrapped up its two-weekend run in Metro Manila with a thrilling win by the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta-Molino. Two tech-savvy students from the winning team outlasted rivals from St. Paul University-Manila during the championship round at Festival Mall in Alabang, and took home the grand prize of two (2) Intel-powered notebooks and an Intel-powered tablet for the campus.

Intel Corporation today took the wraps off its brand new, low-power, high-performance microarchitecture named Silvermont.

The technology is aimed squarely at low-power requirements in market segments from smartphones to the data center. Silvermont will be the foundation for a range of innovative products beginning to come to market later this year, and will also be manufactured using the company's leading-edge,22nm Tri-Gate SoC manufacturing process, which brings significant performance increases and improved energy efficiency.

“Silvermont is a leap forward and an entirely new technology foundation for the future that will address a broad range of products and market segments,” said Dadi Perlmutter, Intel executive vice president and chief product officer. “Early sampling of our 22nm SoCs, including “Bay Trail” and “Avoton”is already garnering positive feedback from our customers.Going forward, we will accelerate future generations of this low-power microarchitecture on a yearly cadence.”

Intel ‘Sing to Win’ Winners Announced


Intel Philippines recently concluded its most exciting and notable campaign to date, ‘Sing to Win’, with an awards night recognizing the top ten winners of its online music-video-making contest.  The campaign celebrates Filipinos’ love for singing, and encourages participants to demonstrate their skills in creating original music videos.
Among the top three finalists are Digital Showdown alumni Gary Sta. Cruz and Jay Jamoralin, both of whom displayed remarkable talent in the musical and video-editing arena. Sta. Cruz’ delivery of Kamikazee hit Narda won him the coveted grand prize, a complete home recording studio showcase and a notebook powered by a 2nd Generation Intel Core i7 processor. Jay Jamoralin’s cover of Jaya’s Wala Na Bang Pag-ibig garnered the first runner-up title, winning him select Behringer sound system equipment and a 2nd Generation Intel Core i5 notebook. Second runner-up Niq Ablao also impressed the judges with her tasteful rendition of Parokya Ni Edgar’s Harana, and was able to take home sound system equipment from Behringer and a 2nd Generation Intel Core i3 notebook.
