“Dunkirk” – Propulsive, Ticking-Clock Action-Thriller From Christopher Nolan

Christopher Nolan has taken audiences from the streets of Gotham City, to the infinite world of dreams, to the farthest reaches of space. Now, for the first time, the innovative director/writer/producer has turned his camera to a real-life event, one that has resonated with him throughout his life: the miracle of “Dunkirk.”
Warner Bros. Pictures‘ “Dunkirk” is based on the evacuation that although it took place in the early months of World War II had a direct impact on the outcome of the war. Rather than make a battlefield drama, however, Nolan’s objective was to turn this historical moment into immediate, immersive cinema: a propulsive, ticking-clock, epic action thriller in which the stakes couldn’t be higher.

The Dark Knight Rises showing at Ayala Cinemas starting July 19

The Dark Knight Rises now showing at Ayala Cinemas

Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures brings to the screen “The Dark Knight Rises,” the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.

Christopher Nolan says, “Our story picks up eight years later, when it seems that Batman and Commissioner Gordon have succeeded—the Dark Knight is no longer needed in Gotham.  In that regard, Bruce Wayne has won the battle, but he is traumatized by what happened and doesn’t know how to move on from being the figure of Batman.  ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ very much deals with the consequences of his and other characters’ actions in the previous films.”

Inception - a world of deceit and pure madness

Christopher Nolan, writer, producer and director of the Batman franchise reboot. made his presence felt with Batman Begins, then cemented his stature as a dark, unique and wonderful director in The Dark Knight.  Now, comes "INCEPTION", the much awaited collaboration of Christopher Nolan and Leonardo DiCaprio.

We have seen how Christopher Nolan has transformed an actor to the character he portrays such an example is the late Heath Ledger, who won him an Academy for his unforgettable performance.  Now, let's see what has he done with Leonardo DiCaprio.

Synopsis:
Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan directs an international cast in an original sci-fi actioner that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams. Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible—inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming. This summer, your mind is the scene of the crime.
