AXN and beTV finally on Destiny


 AXN and beTV finally on Destiny

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks, Asia has signed an agreement with Sky Cable Corporation to expand carriage of AXN and beTV to the Destiny Cable pay-TV platform in the Philippines.

Both channels are located on Destiny Cable’s basic tier of channels, which are available to its widest base of subscribers. Starting today, Destiny Cable customers will get to enjoy AXN and beTV on channels 61 and 62 respectively.

“The Philippines is a key market where we continue to invest and hope to entertain even greater audiences by expanding AXN and beTV’s reach to the country’s second most subscribed to pay-TV platform, Destiny Cable. Our expanded partnership with Sky Cable Corporation provides even more viewers with access to our high-quality programming,” said Ricky Ow, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Networks, Asia, Sony Pictures Television.

Good drama loves company at beTV


Drop Dead Diva’s Jane (Brooke Elliott) is a plus-sized attorney whose body becomes home to the spirit of an aspiring model named Deb, when their souls crossed paths at death. Given a second chance at life, Deb comes to terms with her new life as Jane, and gradually learns that body size is not the only definition of beauty. The romantic comedy follows Deb as Jane struggling with her new-found intelligence and her feelings for Deb’s fiancé Grayson (Jackson Hurst, A Bird of the Air). In this 4th Season, Jane tries to put her past behind and move on with her new beau Owen (Lex Medlin, Southland), but former flame Grayson steps back into the picture. So, after three seasons of Jane running after Grayson, this time, Grayson is the one pining for Jane. How will this love triangle end? Expect more transformations and forbidden, romantic love in the second season of TEEN WOLF. The first season told the story of an ordinary teenager, Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), whose life was forever changed overnight because of a vicious bite. AXN Beyond is now beTV

Starting April 2, 2012, Sony Pictures Television Networks, home of the leading regional pay-TV channels including AXN and Animax, is rebranding AXN Beyond as beTV across Asia.  The new channel will feature an expanded content line-up of new on- and off-air look and feel, with a channel 'personality' to match.

Expect new shows such as Pan Am, Necessary Roughness and A Gifted Man.  And more recently "ROB", which stars Filipino American Rob Schneider in this latest sitcom based loosely on his real-life whirlwind romance and marriage; while reality show I Get That A Lot sets up celebrities like Heidi Klum, Martha Stewart, LeAnn Rimes and Jessica Simpson in everyday jobs such as wait and sales staff.

beTV viewers will continue enjoying returning seasons of Sherlock, Teen Wolf, Supernatural, comedy dramas Chuck and How to be a Gentleman, along with medical drama Grey'a Anatomy.
