Exude grace under pressure on beTV this January
Dr. Dani Santino (Callie Thorne, Rescue Me) thought she had it all figured out: she had a beautiful
home, a successful husband, two great teenaged kids, and a satisfying career as
a psychotherapist until she caught her husband cheating on her.
On the 2nd
season of Necessary Roughness, Dani's perfect world begins to unravel
as she is forced to find a way to keep her family, her finances, and her sanity
intact following a divorce. She will be facing a whole new batch of issues to
tackle, both personally and professionally as she becomes the most sought-after
therapist for professional athletes and other high-profile personalities. She also starts a new relationship with Matt
(Marc Blucas, Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
and tries to keep her kids on track. Would she be able to hold it all

For the first-time ever, 29 chefs (which is almost double
the amount of chefs in past seasons) will have to prove that they have what it
takes to become an official chef’testant and qualify to wear the Top Chef coat on the 9th season of Top Chef!
Only 16 will go on to compete across the Lone Star State – in Austin, Dallas
and San Antonio. This will be most challenging season yet with some of the
biggest names in the food, music and entertainment industry including head
judge, Chef Tom Colicchio, Patti LaBelle, Charlize Theron, Padma Lakshmi, host
Gail Simmons, among others. In addition,
the new season welcomes famed chef and restaurateur Emeril Lagasse as well critically-acclaimed
Chef Hugh Acheson. Catch the aspiring chefs living and breathing the pressures
of culinary stardom and the chance to earn the title of “Top Chef" starting January
21 airing weeknights at 7:40 pm.

AXN and beTV finally on Destiny
Both
channels are located on Destiny Cable’s basic tier of channels, which are available
to its widest base of subscribers. Starting today, Destiny Cable customers will
get to enjoy AXN and beTV on channels 61 and 62 respectively.

Good drama loves company at beTV
Drop Dead Diva’s Jane (Brooke
Elliott) is a plus-sized attorney whose body becomes home to the spirit of an
aspiring model named Deb, when their souls crossed paths at death. Given a
second chance at life, Deb comes to terms with her new life as Jane, and
gradually learns that body size is not the only definition of beauty. The
romantic comedy follows Deb as Jane struggling with her new-found intelligence
and her feelings for Deb’s fiancé Grayson (Jackson Hurst, A Bird of the Air). In this 4th
Season, Jane tries to put her past behind
and move on with her new beau Owen (Lex
Medlin, Southland), but former
flame Grayson steps back into the picture. So, after three seasons of Jane
running after Grayson, this time, Grayson is the one pining for Jane. How will

AXN Beyond is now beTV
Starting April 2, 2012, Sony Pictures Television Networks, home of the leading regional pay-TV channels including AXN and Animax, is rebranding AXN Beyond as beTV across Asia. The new channel will feature an expanded content line-up of new on- and off-air look and feel, with a channel 'personality' to match.
Expect new shows such as Pan Am, Necessary Roughness and A Gifted Man. And more recently "ROB", which stars Filipino American Rob Schneider in this latest sitcom based loosely on his real-life whirlwind romance and marriage; while reality show I Get That A Lot sets up celebrities like Heidi Klum, Martha Stewart, LeAnn Rimes and Jessica Simpson in everyday jobs such as wait and sales staff.
