City of Dreams Manila Brings Dreamplay’s SPOOKFEST 2019 and other family-friendly offerings this Halloween



Families are in for an eerie yet fun family-friendly activities and offerings for Halloween at City of Dreams Manila from October 7 to November 1. Festivities include the annual Spookfest at DreamPlay; thrillingly immersive horror room experience at The Garage’s VR Zone; spooktacular treats from Chocol8; and a jungle-themed buffet spread at Hyatt Regency Manila City of Dreams’ The Café.

DreamPlay, the world’s first DreamWorks-inspired interactive play space, is once again holding Spookfest from October 31 to November 1. Now on its fourth year, Spookfest 2019 is filled with spooky adventures, thrilling games, superb prizes, and other surprises.

For Php 1, 499, the Spookfest VIP Package is inclusive of an all-day pass at DreamPlay’s attractions with express check-in and attraction entry; and passes to DreamWorks’ Halloween movie, pumpkin cookie-making session and other exciting activities such as “Shrek or Treat” Scavenger Hunt pass, Bean Bag Toss Competition, and “Shrek It Out” costume contest. The package also comes with freebies such as a special Spookfest tote bag and an Ogre Scream Milk Shake.

City of Dreams Manila Sets the Bar for CSR Initiatives with More Than 4,000 Active Volunteers


City of Dreams Manila recognizes the participation of more than 4,000 of its employees or approximately 80% of its workforce who in 2017 engaged in the luxury resort’s fourth year of long-term and sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.

City of Dreams Manila’s year-round outreach program last year included provisions for basic needs, social and learning activities for orphans and the elderly; refurbishing classrooms through the Department of Educations ‘Brigada Eskwela’ campaign; annual blood donations for Red Cross; relief goods for those affected by disasters; and mangrove and tree-planting and coastal clean-up drives. The various undertakings were aptly named “Spoonful of Dreams” for the care of orphans and street children, ”Connecting Dreams” for the special time spent with the elderly, “Headful of Dreams” for educational sessions for children and elders “Hopeful Dreams” for hospital visits to indigent patients and “Growing Dreams” for environmental protection.

City of Dreams Manila Welcomes The Chinese New Year With Fun and Festive Activities


City of Dreams Manila welcomes the Year of the Earth Dog with fun and festive activities at The Shops at the Boulevard and DreamPlay, the world’s first Dreamworks-inspired interactive place space.

The Lunar New Year festival at The Shops at the Boulevard showcases palm reading and caricature drawing for guests on February 16 to 18,3-9 p.m, punctuated by three 5-minute Chinese cultural dance performances from 4:20-6 p.m. The God of Fortune will also be at the retail area and main gaming floor to spread gifts and good cheer.

DreamPlay’s Spookfest At City Of Dreams Manila


DreamPlay, the DreamWorks-inspired interactive play space at City of Dreams Manila will hold its annual “Spookfest”, a Halloween adventure from October 28 to November 1 packed with thrilling games, exciting activities, special performances, and awesome prizes.
Children who wish to join can sign up for the “Spookfest VIP Package” for P1,500 which includes an all-day pass at DreamPlay, an exclusive experience to participate in the “Shrek or Treat Pumpkin Hunt” and “Shrek It Out” Costume Contest, admission to view the DreamWorks Halloween movie at the Dream Theatre, a pass to create pumpkin-shaped gingerbread cookies at Gingy’s Kitchen, photo ops with Shrek, and a Spookfest bag with DreamPlay goodies.

City Of Dreams Manila Foundation Donates To Parañaque City’s Health Program

A tri-party agreement was signed by the foundation of City of Dreams Manila, Melco Resorts Leisure (PHP) Corporation, and the City Government of Parañaque for the monthly donation of P1 Million or a year’s donation of P12 Million to Parañaque City by the luxury integrated resort’s foundation.

City Of Dreams Manila Launches “Jing Ting” Restaurant Specializing In Northern Chinese Cuisine


City of Dreams Manila recently launched a new foodie hotspot Jing Ting, a quick and casual dining restaurant specializing in authentic Northern Chinese cuisine.  The 92-seater restaurant with an open kitchen is open daily from 10 am to 4 am and situated on the upper ground level at retail area. This new restaurant complements the diverse mix of over 20 dining options on property.
Jing Ting means a little house or resting place inspired by Northern Chinese "Hutongs." Originally a “Hutong” is a part of Beijing’s rich history and culture wherein the community gathers to catch up and strengthen relations in a lane formed by rows of gray-tiled houses and buildings. At Jing Ting, guests can bond together and at the same time partake of authentic Northern Chinese cuisine.

DreamPlay Celebrates Its Second Year Anniversary With King Julien’s Dance Off At City Of Dreams Manila


DreamPlay, City of Dreams Manila’s DreamWorks-inspired interactive play space, celebrates its second year anniversary with another “King Julien’s Dance Off” competition open to all children’s dance groups from around the country. Following preliminary screenings, eight finalists will vie for the top prize worth over P100,000 at the Grand Finals on August 27.
The contest is open to all kids’ groups between the ages of seven to 14 with eight to 12 members each group, and can be composed of all boys, all girls or mixed. Interested kiddie dance groups must download the entry form from the City of Dreams Manila website: www.cityofdreamsmanila.com/dreamplaydanceoff
and submit a two-minute dance video entry with an English song from any DreamWorks movie until August 16 for the qualifying round.

Indonesian Flavors With Banana-Wrapped Char-Grilled Jasmine Rice At Red Ginger At City Of Dreams Manila


Southeast Asian restaurant Red Ginger at City of Dreams Manila offers authentic Indonesian “Nasi Bakar,” banana-wrapped char-grilled jasmine rice scented with chili and lemongrass with choice of delectable topping for July only.

The unique aroma and smoky flavor of “Nasi Bakar” is served with a selection of Indonesian-style grilled or fried seafood or meat: Tumis Cumi Cabe Hijau (baby squid and sliced green chili), Tongkol Masak Pedas (spiced tuna, coconut, and tumeric), Pepes Jamur (oyster mushroom, crispy anchovies, and cherry tomatoes), Ayam Kemanggi (sweet basil chicken), and Iga Sapi Jawa Timur (aromatic east Javanese-style beef short ribs).  Each serving comes with sambal bajak (spicy sambal sauce), twice-cooked tofu, and a house salad.
