Reflect on how Jesus lived: Visit the BGC Walkway this Holy Week

Commemorate the Lenten season with an interactive stations of the cross and a free concert

With over a decade of bringing life to the true meaning of Holy Week through the “Walkway: Reflections on the Stations of the Cross” exhibit, Bonifacio High Street together with Church Simplified once again rolls it out from April 14-21, 2019 with this year’s theme focusing on how Jesus lived during the Roman rule.

Moving away from the traditional depictions of the Passion of Christ, the Walkway uses contemporary art to give meaning to each immersive station that features literal structures and symbols which tells the story of Jesus’ life.

Bonifacio Global City: Making Dreams Come True For Children Of Military Heroes

Lance was only 4 years old when his father, Army Sgt. Narciso Lawrence Layug died. He remembers how his mom broke the news to him, “Anak, si dad nandun na sa heaven.” (Son, daddy’s in heaven.) To which he gave an innocent answer, “Sundan natin, bisitahin natin siya. Malapit lang naman yun, at may pamasahe tayo.” (Let’s visit him. It’s not that far a place, and we have money for the commute.)
Years later, the family left the province for Manila. As they rebuild their lives in the city, mother-and-son became best of friends, and helped each other in running their household.

The Energizer night race takes off on May 4

Energizer Night Race 2013
Out for a night time run!

Probably the most intense night race, the Energizer Night Race will surely bring out the athlete in you.  To satisfy different quirks and fancies, event organizers have explored a multitude of ways to keep the running community on their toes. This includes running competitions with added obstacles, on off-road tracks and, most recently, holding races at night.

Competitive racing in the dead of night certainly adds a different dimension to the running experience. Being enveloped by darkness requires runners to be more sensitive to the slightest conditions on the road, demanding complete focus and undivided attention. Preparations in the run-up to competition also vary. Training regimen, as well as prep time, tend to differ, too, which only adds to the challenge.
