Ben&Ben’s “Lifetime” tops IFPI’s Official Philippines Chart, Billboard Philippines Hot 100

The band, alongside the haunting image of longing and what-ifs as articulated in “Lifetime (Reimagined),” the extended version of “Lifetime”

Multi-awarded folk-pop band Ben&Ben continues to set new career records as their 2020 hit Lifetime zoomed to the top of both the Official Philippines Chart of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) and the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart, less than a month after the release of the song’s extended version, Lifetime (Reimagined).

For the week of April 10 to 16, Lifetime moved up one spot to reach the No. 1 position on IFPI’s Official Philippines Chart. The rankings were launched in February 2025 as part of the Official Southeast Asia Charts, an IFPI initiative that recognizes music from five other countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Meanwhile, on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart for the week of April 25, the song climbed four spots from the previous week’s No. 5 finish, fueled by consistently strong streaming numbers across various platforms. This marks the band’s first ever No. 1 Billboard Philippines chart ranking, and their third time to break into the charts, following Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay in the 2025 Year-End Charts and Kathang Isip in the October 2025 Hot 100 list.

Ben&Ben releases “Duyan” music video starring Khalil Ramos and Gabbi Garcia

The song completes the ‘Mahiwaga trilogy,’ which includes hit songs “Pagtingin” and “Araw-Araw”

Ben&Ben continued to solidify their status as one of the most important voices of OPM in 2025. The acclaimed band made history as the first Filipino act to surpass three billion streams on global streaming platform Spotify, while also earning major wins at the 28th Awit Awards, including Album of the Year for their third studio album, The Traveller Across Dimensions and Best Performance by a Group Recording Artist for "Triumph.” As the year drew to a close, Ben&Ben’s music found itself intertwined with national consciousness when “Kapangyarihan,” their collaboration with SB19, emerged as a modern anthem in protest spaces, echoing public anger amid allegations of corruption surrounding flood control and infrastructure projects.

Now, as they turn the page to a brand-new year, the multi-awarded nine-piece collective invites listeners to start the year on a more intimate yet optimistic note with the release of their new single “Duyan”—out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.

Written and composed by frontman Miguel Benjamin and produced by longtime collaborator Ziv alongside Ben&Ben, “Duyan” represents a profound, romantic bond that defies distance, time, and obstacles. The rousing pop-rock ballad encapsulates what true love really means: deep affection, unwavering loyalty, and the choice to remain committed even when faced with challenges and adversities.

Filipino nine-piece collective Ben&Ben caps off the Pride celebration with the release of “Paninindigan Kita” music video, starring Pat Lasaten and Agnes Reoma.

“We're both excited and nervous because we're not very public about our relationship,” says keyboardist Pat Lasaten.  “We also aren't into PDA, in fact our bandmates seldom see us hold hands.”

The song marks another chapter in the band’s career with its incredibly effortless songwriting and anthemic pop sound

Filipino folk-pop collective Ben&Ben marks a new era in music with the release of their 2022 single “Paninindigan Kita.”

Written by Paolo and Miguel Benjamin, the upbeat pop song captures the fearlessness of fighting for someone you love despite the disapproval from the people around.

“It is also an ode to a lover that might be hesitant to take a step forward in the relationship,” says the nine-piece outfit. “It's a heartfelt song that gives a balance between understanding where the lover is coming from, and a gentle reassurance that the one singing the song is ready and sure, after learning a lot so far about life and love.”

Ben&Ben offer reassuring warmth on introspective new single “Magpahinga”

Ben&Ben offer words of genuine compassion and encouragement to every person out there who might be going through a lot in these difficult times. On their latest single “Magpahinga,” the nine-piece collective wrote a lovely piano ballad from the point of view of someone who is in dire need of guidance.

“It’s a song that reminds us to check up on ourselves and address our own inner struggles,” lead vocalist and guitarist Paolo Benjamin points out in a statement. “But also, it is a song that aims to accompany the listener, and remind them that in those moments of hardship, they are not alone.” Without resorting to being preachy, the band’s latest offering also reminds listeners that there’s nothing to be ashamed of in taking some time to step back from the situation and heal on your own terms.

Written by Miguel and Paolo Benjamin, and produced by JP Verona with the band, “Magpahinga” was recorded in the house where the band is currently staying. The remote place has a beautiful baby grand piano, which keyboardist Patricia Lasaten used as an instrument to complement the band’s introspective lyrics.

Ben&Ben paint breathtaking imagery of young love on new single “Upuan”

It’s official: Ben&Ben have finally released “Upuan,” the first single off their upcoming sophomore album to be released under Sony Music.

Written in 2019, in Dumaguete upon arrival at the hotel after one of their shows, their new song takes a nostalgic look on young love, and as Ben&Ben describe it, “the palpable romantic tension that arises from friendships that are formed by sitting next to each other, and the adventurous conversations that ensue.”

Lyrically, “Upuan” draws breathtaking imagery that interprets gestures in such lifelike ways, capturing a play of details with romantic earnestness. The band points out, “we incorporated a more visual style in the song, painting a picture for the listener and transporting them to that familiar place, of falling in love with someone they just met, whether that is in a classroom, by the beach, at a restaurant.”
