Alaska Milk Wins Corporate Social Responsibility Company of the Year by ASIA CEO Awards

With over 400 nominations from Philippine’s most important business organizations, Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC) was named Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Company of the Year by the ASIA CEO Awards last 11 October 2022, at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City. Among those who vied for the CSR Company of the Year Award are emerging and other industry giants such as IBM Philippines, Maybank Philippines, Cebuana Lhuillier, Megaworld Foundation, Shopee, and Bounty Agro Ventures, to name a few.

“Actually, for us, we call it Corporate Purpose Responsibility Programs. Because it’s more than just a social responsibility but a purpose for us — our why — the reason for our existence for the last 50 years,” said AMC People and Culture Director Edalyn Hadjula-Legarde as she received the award.

Newest All-Stars announced at National training camp of Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2016 presented by Alaska

Ten boys and five girls—comprised of players from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao—were selected as Jr. NBA and Jr. WNBA All-Stars during the last day of the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2016 presented by Alaska National Training Camp at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on April 24.

Eleven young ballers to represent Visayas Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2016 National Training Camp


Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2016 presented by Alaska Regional Selection Camp at the Don Bosco Technology Center in Cebu welcomed 333 young players across Visayas including Bacolod, Bohol, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Iloilo, Leyte and Samar.  Staged for the fifth time in Cebu, the league’s global youth basketball participation program awarded eleven 13-year old kids composed of eight boys and three girls with a ticket to the National Training camp in Manila from April 22-24.

Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA 2016 Regional Selection Camp goes to Cebu March 5-6


Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2016 presented by Alaska continues its search for skillful ballers aged 10-14 in Cebu on March 5-6 at Don Bosco Technology Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the third Regional Selection Camp (RSC) of the NBA’s youth development program this year.

The two-day camp will be run by Jr. NBA Coach Craig Brown together with other Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA coaches from presenting partner Alaska.

Eleven young ballers off to Manila for JR. NBA/JR. WNBA Philippines 2016 National training camp


Young cagers gathered and showcased their skills on the hardcourt as Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2016 presented by Alaska went to Ateneo de Davao University, Matina campus on February 27-28 for the fourth staging of the Regional Selection Camp in Mindanao.  Seven boys and four girls were selected from 543 kids who participated in this year’s program.

After two days of progressive drills and scrimmages, six boys and two girls topped the first Regional Selection Camp of the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2016 presented by Alaska held February 20-21 at Benguet State University.

JR. NBA/JR. WNBA Phillpines All-Stars fly to Shenzhen to watch NBA Stars in action


- Fifteen Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines All-Stars and 2015 Coach of the Year Winners to join top Jr. NBA participants from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam at NBA Global Games 2015 in Shenzhen -

The 2015 Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines All-Stars will travel to China from Oct. 9-12 to watch the first-ever NBA Global Games in Shenzhen between the Charlotte Hornets and the Los Angeles Clippers at the Shenzhen Universiade Center.  The opportunity to watch a live NBA game is part of the commitment of Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA presented by Alaska to provide its top participants with a fun, enriching NBA experience.

Three boys, two girls from Davao make it to National Training Camp of Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2015 presented by Alaska


Four DavaoeƱos and one player from Cagayan de Oro are set to pursue their basketball dreams in Manila this April after topping the Regional Selection Camp of Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2015 presented by Alaska at the University of the Immaculate Conception in Davao City.

Paolo Emanuel Antonio, 14, of Stella Maris Academy in Davao City; Christopher Gonzaga, 14, of the University of the Immaculate Conception, Davao City and Jeffy Malilim, 13, of Corpus Christi School, Cagayan de Oro will vie for the honor of becoming Jr. NBA All-Stars at the National Training Camp in Manila come April.

Baguio and Dagupan players rule Baguio Regional Selection Camp

Young players from Benguet Province and nearby Pangasinan distinguished themselves at the Regional Selection Camp of the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2015 presented by Alaska held at the St. Louis University Laboratory High School in this city, March 15, 2015.

Seven young players from these provinces – four boys and three girls -- had statistics and basketball savvy that impressed Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA coaches and judged them worthy of inclusion in the National Training Camp, the high point of the NBA’s global youth development program, come April.

Four Iloilo boys, two girls off to Manila in April for Jr. NBA/Jr WNBA National Training Camp

293 boys, 6 girls join Iloilo Regional Selection Camp

Six Iloilo students, four boys and two girls, topped the Regional Selection Camp of the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2015 presented by Alaska at the Ateneo de Iloilo on March 8.

Vince Andrew Jayme, 14, of Huasiong College of Iloilo; Jann Paolo Villariza and Lucky Charm Ramos, both 13, of Sun Yat Sen High School and Ian Dominic Espinosa, 12, of Ateneo de Iloilo are the Jr. NBA representatives of Western Visayas, while Jenedith Ruth Valle, 13, of Barrio Obrero National High School and Shan Sumagaysay, 13, of the Colegio Sagrado Corazon de Jesus of Iloilo are the region’s Jr. WNBA hopefuls in the National Training Camp in Manila this April.

Three boys and one girl from Puerto Princesa are first qualifiers for Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA National Training Camp April 24-26


Three boys aged 13 and an 11-year old girl emerged as the first qualifiers for the National Training Camp of the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2015 presented by Alaska in Palawan Sunday, February 22.
 

The four standouts were chosen from a field of 198 participants in the first Regional Selection Camp of the NBA league’s international youth basketball program which was held at the Seminario de San Jose in Tiniguiban, Puerto Princesa February 21 and 22.

JR. NBA/JR. WNBA Philippines 2015 Presented by Alaska stages free open clinics in Metro Manila


Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2015 presented by Alaska begins its series of free open clinics in Metro Manila on Sunday, February 8 at Philadelphia High School in Talayan Village, Quezon City to enable young players to experience NBA-style developmental basketball and learn the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA STAR values of Sportsmanship, Teamwork, a positive Attitude and Respect.

All young players are invited to attend.

JR. NBA/JR. WNBA Philippines 2015 this January 24th as presented by Alaska

Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Philippines 2015 presented by Alaska tips-off on January 24 with a coaches clinic at the British School Manila.  The Jr. NBA program, now running for the eighth consecutive year in the Philippines, will reach more than 700 schools and communities nationwide this year.  

More than 26,000 players and 2,000 coaches have participated in the program since its launch in 2007.
