EastWest Ageas Bags Two Global Award for Tech Transformation

EastWest Ageas scored global recognition from two prestigious award-giving organizations for best practices of technology usage in areas critical to success for insurance. The company has been recognized by Celent as a winner of a 2024 Model Insurer award for the Legacy and Ecosystem Transformation category. And it also received recognition from the World’s Digital Insurance Awards as a finalist in the Insurer Transformation category.

“We are honored to receive these global recognitions from these award-giving bodies in the insurance industry,” says EastWest Ageas President and CEO Sjoerd Smeets. “These awards demonstrate that we are on the right track in maximizing technology to best serve our clients. So, You’re Worried? Most Filipinos Are, Too

Post-pandemic, more and more Filipinos are changing their spending behavior to address their worries about the future. In a study by EastWest Ageas commissioned to Nielsen (A Study of Thoughts, Emotions, Ways, and Actions to Reach Dreams (STEWARD)), money for personal expenses and leisure is now being allocated towards monthly investments and savings. However, insurance penetration is still at 1.75 % in the entire country.
