You Can Now Pay for Your Loans via ShopeePay

ShopeePay, Shopee’s integrated mobile wallet, now offers users an easier way to pay for their DragonLoans, Home Credit, SkyPay, and Cashalo loans. Shopee aims to provide more convenient and rewarding payment options to its customers through the app, saving them the effort of paying for loans through over-the-counter bank deposits and automated machines.

As more people adopt digital payments for better convenience, it’s expected that a majority of Filipinos will rely on online payment platforms. A survey conducted in December 2020 by global analytics software firm FICO, revealed that 56 percent of Filipino consumers prefer to use digital channels to engage with their bank during financial hardship, while 12 percent used internet banking.

Teleperformance rolls out free COVID-19 vaccination for employees through TPVac program

Teleperformance in the Philippines continues to be a strong advocate for health and safety as the company began implementation of its employee vaccination program called TPVac on July 10 at Solaire Vaccine Center in Paranaque. The first team members to receive the vaccines were the most at risk population front line employees.

As a people company, Teleperformance procured vaccines for employees based out of its 22 business sites across the National Capital Region, Antipolo, Cavite, Baguio, Bacolod, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao who opted to participate in TPVac. This initiative likewise affirms the commitment of Teleperformance, not only to protect the health of its people, but also to help governments address the pandemic with agile, large-scope support of vaccination programs deployed at the corporate level.

“Teleperformance showed that they really care for their employees. It’s my first time to be vaccinated against Covid-19, so I was a bit anxious. But that vanished because the doctors were very accommodating. The venue is very good; staff were well organized. Good job, TP!” said Customer Service Representative Anna Marie Erika Manipon, who shared her experience after the inoculation.

Call of duty: 1,500 COVID-19 medical frontliners receive essential care packages from Globe

Globe and its partners have provided connectivity support to medical frontliners who risk their lives to tend to the needs of those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. UP-Philippine General Hospital (PGH), National Children’s Hospital (NCH), and Tondo Medical Center (TMC) received essential support packages composed of WiFi kits, entertainment sets, grocery, medical supplies, insurance vouchers, and cash support.

“As the country further adjusts with the ongoing vaccination drives, and the steady recovery of various industries and businesses, we would like to extend our utmost gratitude to the frontliners who have been at the COVID-19 line of fire since day one,” said Ernest Cu, Globe President and CEO.

Each hospital received 50 Globe MyFi devices (with a free 9 GB data allocation valid for 7 days) for its medical frontliners, as well as funds raised through Globe Rewards and GCash. Likewise, smart TVs with Globe Home Prepaid WiFi (HPWs) loaded with 10 GB data valid for 7 days were installed in COVID-19, cancer wards, and other patient areas such as the Emergency Room and Out-Patient Department.

AirAsia Philippines supports ‘Green Lane’ for fully vaccinated individuals, calls for standardized vaccination verification

AirAsia supports the initiative of the Health Department in establishing a more stringent procedure in verifying the validity of the vaccine documents presented by fully vaccinated travelers who are doing intrazonal travel for tourism, business and other purposes.

The Department of Health (DOH)  has recently given Local Government Units (LGUs) the authority to determine travel requirements for entry into their jurisdictions.

AirAsia Philippines Spokesperson Steve Dailisan said, “AirAsia believes that the ‘green lane’ for fully vaccinated individuals will encourage more leisure travelers who have previously expressed concerns on varying requirements per destination. This will save them time and money in securing testing requirements.”
