Pentatonix and Lea Salonga spread holiday cheers with their rendition of “Christmas In Our Hearts”

Their version of a Christmas classic is part of Pentatonix’s new album, Holidays Around The World

American pop group Pentatonix lights up the holiday season with the release of their sixth album, Holidays Around The World—out via RCA Records.

The a cappella ensemble brings their global vision back to life as they collaborate with some of the biggest pop stars and idols from different parts of the world, including Chinese pianist Lang Lang, Congolese gospel singer Grace Lokwa, Lebanese singer Hiba Tawaji, Latin band La Santa Cecilia, Indian superstar Shreya Ghoshal, Japanese YouTubers HIKAKIN & SEIKIN, British a cappella ensemble The King’s Singers, and American superstar Meghan Trainor.

Bayanihan Musikahan raises additional 1.5M in 1 hour


Broadway superstar Lea Salonga captivates viewers of the online fundraising series

Small donations amounting to PhP 1.5 million poured into the Bayanihan Musikahan fund-raiser in 1 hour during the live concert-from-house of music superstar Lea Salonga last night. 

She began and ended her hour with composition by the principal organizer of the project, Ryan Cayabyab, National Artist for Music. Emphasizing citizen action in the face of a pandemic, Salonga encapsulated an emerging dynamic of citizens helping citizens through small contributions and exercise of talent.

Lea Salonga Pays Tribute To Musical Theater In ‘Songs From The Stage’


Having started at a very young age in theater, our very own Lea Salonga is definitely the first person that comes to mind for many Filipinos when musical theater is talked about.
After a plethora of characters portrayed, including the red-haired ‘Annie’ when Lea was all of 9 years old, it was her phenomenal casting and portrayal of the lead role of Kim in the musical ‘Miss Saigon,’ that earned her international acclaim and various awards such as the Tony, Laurence Olivier and Drama Desk, among others. Only 18 at that time, her role is still one of the most coveted and challenging ever created in the music theater canon.

A Night for Voices of Healing with "Ang Soap Opera ng Buhay ko"


The University of the Philippines Medical Alumni Fund, Inc. (UPMAF) will hold a concert called “Ang SOAP Opera ng Buhay Ko” (The Concert: Voices of Healing) at the new Marriott Grand Ballroom on August 26, 2015 to riase funds towards the creation of the New UP College of Medicine Academic Center,  a 7-story multi-million peso undertaking.
