Ayala Malls Cinemas recently unveiled its MET OPERA IN HD SEASON 3 at Greenbelt 3 Cinemas featuring the movie “La Donna Del Lago” that started last December 8.
Ayala Malls Cinemas brings the world-class experience opera in the country, presenting operatic productions to a wider audience. Its debut feature on its third season, “La Donna Del Lago” tells about a time when Scotland under King James V (reigned 1513–1542) was in a state of unrest. Amongst the rebels were Douglas (Elena's father), Rodrigo (to whom she has been betrothed) and Malcolm (whom she loves). The King is in the habit of going about his lands disguised as Uberto.
The Cultural Center of the Philippines, The Metropolitan Opera, The Filipinas Opera Society Foundation, Inc. and Ayala Malls Cinemas bring to the country New York’s The Met Opera series of live performances filmed in high-definition video made available at Greenbelt3 Cinema starting this October 14 with “Rigoletto.”
Presenting world-class productions to a wider audience and making it more accessible globally, this latest in digital movie experience allows more people, who are unable to get to New York City, to watch The Met’s high-quality series of operatic performances. Through digital technology, the stage plays will be presented at Ayala Malls Cinemas’ Greenbelt 3 screens as it was recorded during their live performance at The Met – complete with backstage scenes, interviews with the actors and production crew.
