The chase continues! Tom & Jerry bring mischief and mayhem to the Philippines

It’s hard to believe that after 8 decades of non-stop chase hilarity, Tom is trying harder than ever to catch Jerry! This year, Tom and Jerry fans will get to enjoy a whole lot more of the iconic cat-and-mouse team with a slew of series and movies during February and March on TV, on streaming apps and at the cinema.

In the build-up to the much-anticipated theatrical release of the big-screen Tom & Jerry movie from Warner Bros. Pictures, there are also plenty of themed retail activations, online activities and fun competitions. It’s the thrill of the chase!

The Cat and Mouse Hijinks Begin Here

Get a daily dose of Tom and Jerry movies, including their reimagined showcases of classic tales like the Wizard of Oz, Sherlock Holmes, and Robin Hood, among others. Catch them all at 5.15pm every day from Saturday, February 6, on Cartoon Network (Skycable Ch 43 SD/178 HD & Cignal Ch 74 SD/220 HD). Fans can also tune in to Boomerang (Skycable Ch 42 SD/Cignal Ch 76 SD) for The Tom and Jerry Show, every day at 6pm and a two-month-long channel takeover featuring various Tom and Jerry series from March to April!

And if that’s not enough, subscribers of the streaming service HBO GO will also get to enjoy a specially-packaged boxset of The Tom and Jerry Show Seasons 1 to 4 and movies, streaming from February 1!

Cartoon Network recently announced its largest slate of content ever from a new wave of creators telling stories that are relevant and reflective of today’s kids. What’s Cartoon Network? It’s a FUN Thing! Pinoy kids will switch on to a brand new era of Cartoon Network entertainment on October 1, as the channel celebrates its awesome new look with the premiere of the award-winning animated sitcom, The Amazing World of Gumball.

Already a smash hit in the US, The Amazing World of Gumball will have Pinoy kids laughing out loud as they follow the funny adventures of Gumball, a kid who faces the trials and tribulations of any 12-year-old; like being chased by a rampaging T-Rex, having a robot steal his identity or dressing as a cheerleader to impress the girl of his dreams.

Gumball, who is really a blue cat with a giant head, is part of an extra-ordinary suburban family who just happen to live in an ordinary town. There’s Dad, a 6’ 4” pink rabbit who stays at home while Mom works in the rainbow factory. And their kids are pretty standard too: besides Gumball, there’s his sister Anais, a 4-year-old genius bunny and Darwin, a pet goldfish who became part of the family when he sprouted legs.

Created by Ben Bocquelet and BAFTA award-winner Mic Graves as series’ director, this comedy-animation is one of the most technically ambitious productions ever, using a unique combination of 2D and 3D animation with live-action backgrounds.  It also scooped the prestigious ‘Cristal Award’ for Best Television Production at this year’s Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June.
