The mega event which took place at the Ryogoku Kokugikan featured some of Japan’s top martial arts talents, alongside the biggest international superstars. In the main event, ONE Light Heavyweight World Champion Aung La N Sang put together a spectacular performance, finishing ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon Vera in the second round to retain his World Title.

Brandon Vera knocks out Mauro Cerilli in first round to retain One Heavyweight World Championship

The largest global sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), returned to the Mall Of Asia Arena for another exciting evening of world-class martial arts action. 

ONE: CONQUEST OF CHAMPIONS featured a series of compelling bouts, punctuated by two unforgettable championship clashes that left fans on the edge of their seats. In the main event, Filipino-American superstar Brandon Vera successfully defended his ONE Heavyweight World Championship against Italian challenger Mauro Cerilli. In the co-main event, Eduard Folayang of the Philippines defeated Singapore’s Amir Khan via unanimous decision to capture the vacant ONE Lightweight World Championship.

In attendance was reigning ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon “The Truth” Vera of the Philippines, as well as his opponent Mauro “The Hammer” Cerilli of Italy. Co-main event participants Eduard “Landslide” Folayang of the Philippines and Amir Khan of Singapore also faced off.

Brandon Vera will make special appearance at ONE Championship’s maiden event in Shanghai

ONE Championship is ensuring a festive week heading to its much-awaited inaugural card in Shanghai, China as Asia’s premier martial arts organization is bringing one of its top superstars to grace the event on 2 September.

Filipino-American sensation Brandon “The Truth” Vera, who is the reigning ONE Heavyweight Word Champion, will be making a special appearance during the event week of ONE CHAMPIONSHIP: SHANGHAI.

Igor Subora relishes opportunity to train with former foe Brandon Vera

Brandon Vera and Igor Subora stood opposite each other inside the ONE Championship cage over two years ago when the two highly-decorated heavyweights crossed paths in their much-anticipated promotional debut.

Both men faced each other inside the jam-packed 20,000-capacity SM Mall of Asia Arena, serving as a co-featured attraction of ONE: WARRIOR’S WAY in December 2014.

Paul Cheng replaces Chi Lewis-Parry in One Championship bout in Manila

After multiple requests made by ONE directly to Chi Lewis-Parry and his manager over the last few weeks, Parry has failed to submit his medical results and his drug tests for the fight this Friday. Additionally, he decided not to board the plane departing from London to Manila.  He will not be fighting this Friday.

The next top HW contender, Paul Cheng will be stepping in for the World Championship fight against Brandon Vera.  Can China claim its first ever Heavyweight World Champion or will the hometown hero make it a storybook win for Filipinos?
