The show is immensely enjoyable for Barrymore’s fans, as she brings the same bubbly charm to the screen reminiscent of her other onscreen heroines in movies such as Ever After, 50 First Dates, and The Wedding Singer.
As the latest season premieres on March 23, suburban wife Sheila (Barrymore) and supportive husband Joel (Olyphant) both struggle to face the obstacles of nosy neighbors, law enforcers, and finding a cure to the cause of her transformation and her cadaver cravings. As Sheila enjoys her newfound energy and confidence, which she attributes to her “diet”, she struggles to keep her humanity intact as her family tries to feed her and find a cure.
The single-camera series, which counts Drew and Timothy in its list of producers, can be enjoyed on Netflix through Globe Postpaid plans. Globe Postpaid customers can get six months’ worth of Netflix free with Plan 999 and up.
