Romeo at Juliet presents an unconventional love story of two souls haunted by their miserable past and repressed emotions that engages you in a dramatic journey of twisted fates and tragic consequences.
Angel (played by Alessandra de Rossi), has been languishing in her "trauma" that started when she was still very young. Her life changed dramatically when she falls in love with Joseph (portrayed by Victor Basa), a man full of dreams and hopes yet is held back by her repressive and controlling mother.
Their relationship could have been perfect but uncontrollable circumstances set in, they traverse into tearing drama reminiscent of the Shakespearian tragedy- entangled with lies, deceit, hate and ultimately love. Romeo at Juliet...

Parents play a very crucial role in our society today... it's what shapes our children's future. We parents should always look at our child's point of view and think what effects it may have on them. As it will leave an indelible mark on them.
The title of this new independent film, "Romeo at Juliet," reminds us of William Shakespeare's well-read work.
But this was also drawn from the unpublished Filipino book writeen in 2002, entitled "Kakaibang Romeo at Juliet" by Jean Altavas, and for some reason was not able to see publication.
