On March 22, 2012, Levi’s® will be celebrating the World Water Day. This is an environment-consciousness effort of Levi’s® to preserve our planet by conserving water. It is a global campaign where there’ll be a massive awareness to promote wearing pants more and washing them less.
Through this, Levi’s® is hoping that its actions will have a positive impact on the planet and support water organizations around the world.
When it comes to the water used to make Levi’s® WaterLess™ jeans - less is definitely more! The Levi’s® brand today announced the expansion of its WaterLess™ jeans collection in the Philippines. The average pair of jeans uses 42 litres of water in the finishing process, Levi’s® WaterLess™ products reduce the use of water in the finishing process by up to 96 percent for some styles. The Levi’s® brand has already made more than 13 million WaterLess products and saved more than 172 million liters of water.
