Discovery Hotels & Resorts take the digital lead with chatbot


Already the leading homegrown luxury hotel group in the Philippines, The Discovery Leisure Company, Inc. (TLDCI) is again taking a step further in digital transformation and customer service, with the introduction of the revolutionary auto-agent chatbot. This makes TLDCI the first homegrown hotel group in the country to utilize on-page AI technology as part of its award-winning customer service program.

Auto-Agent, an automated website chatbot created to help hoteliers provide an elevated quality service 24/7, is already being utilized in hotels abroad. Powered by Triptease, a UK-based tech solutions company that empowers hotels to recapture guest relationships from Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and increase direct bookings. Guests can therefore expect immediate, high quality responses when chatting online, even when hotel staff are engaged or are not immediately available.

The Discovery Leisure Company, Inc. (TDLCI) partners with Art Relief Mobile Kitchen (ARMK), a non-government organization whose mission is to feed the hungry through community kitchens. The collaboration provided food aid to the rescuers, evacuees and volunteers in Barangay Ucab, Itogon, Benguet, where Typhoon Ompong triggered a state of calamity.

Discovery Hotels and Resorts cooks up their first Culinary Cup

The Discovery Leisure Company, Inc. (TDLCI), a homegrown group of hotels and resorts, held the first Culinary Cup, which would be an annual event, at the Columbus function room of Discovery Suites Manila. The friendly inter-hotel competition allowed TDLCI’s various Food and Beverage teams to showcase their culinary skills. The event was sponsored by Wine Warehouse, San Miguel Beer and Meliomar, which provided fresh, sustainable seafood.   

All five hotels of TDLCI - Discovery Shores Boracay, Club Paradise Palawan, Discovery Country Suites Tagaytay, Discovery Suites Manila and Discovery Primea Makati - competed for the Culinary Cup trophies in three categories: Culinary, Bartending and Table-setting.
