Over the years, LBC, through LBC Foundation has
been providing support for various World Vision campaigns and activities such
as the Fun Run from 2012 to 2017, Coin Banks and Typhoon Maring’s emergency
response in 2013, and the Noche Buena campaign in 2018. That same year, LBC
partnered with Philam Foundation and donated a one-storey building with two
classrooms in Molinete Elementary School in Batangas through World Vision. They
also offered their courier services in delivering educational materials and
equipment for the Visayas Area Programs. Up to this day, LBC has been
sponsoring more than 40 children under the Child Sponsorship Program, and with
this, children are given access to education, health and nutrition, livelihood
opportunities and economic development in the community.
To express his gratitude for the award, LBC Area
Manager Richard Gonato said, “We want to instill in our employees the value of
giving back. There is a sense of fulfillment that sponsorship brings whenever we
hear a child graduate.” To continue their support, LBC aims to collaborate with
World Vision’s CHOSEN campaign to call on their employees’ involvement on child
sponsorship in their Central Office. With this campaign, children from various
parts of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will take part in the “choosing event” which
gives them the power to choose their sponsor.
World Vision thanks the LBC Foundation Team for
supporting their campaigns and emergency response efforts
