Cherry Mobile cares for the students of Bayanijuan‏

Cherry Mobile gives to students of Bayanijuan

Five hundred pupils from Kindergarten to Grade Six of Bayanijuan in Calauan, Laguna recently received school kits from Cherry Mobile (Cosmic Technologies, Inc.).

ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya, through its educational arm Programa Genio, partnered with Cherry Mobile to distribute notebooks, papers and pencils to the chosen students of Dayap Elementary School – Annex (DESA) and Santo Tomas Elementary School – Annex (STESA). This endeavor is under Cherry Mobile’s Be Cool in School Campaign.

Students from DESA performed a local dance named Tiklos – a Waray term for bayanihan, while STESA students danced to the tune of Cherry Mobile’s theme song “Click Tayo” sung by Sarah Geronimo. Freebies and prizes like armbands, collapsible drinking bottles and fans were also given away.

Bayanijuan located at Southville 7 in Calauan, Laguna is the official resettlement site of ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya, where all the former informal settlers along Estero de Paco and other areas in Metro Manila were relocated. One of the pillars of Bayanijuan is to empower its youth through quality education. Programa Genio aims to bring out the best in the children of Bayanijuan through implementing soft programs and partnering with corporations to give out school supplies.
