The upcoming holiday celebrations may be slightly different now that the whole world still adjusts to the new normal, but the light of the season won’t ever be dimmed as we continue to share love and joy with families and friends however we can. This is how Filinvest City intends to inspire the community to be the light this Christmas—by sparking hope in their own little way.
This year, Filinvest City makes celebrations this holiday season even more meaningful and worthwhile by honoring today’s modern heroes—frontliners who continuously go the extra mile and devote their time for the people and the community. With the theme “Be the Light,” Filinvest City enjoins everyone to take a step back, appreciate life’s blessings, and never stop spreading magic and merriment even amid these trying times. Headlining this Christmas celebration is its video-making contest dedicated to community frontliners.
Through the online contest with DTI Fair Trade Permit No. FTEB-109027 Series of 2020, participants can make someone’s day brighter by submitting creative videos using the song “Kaleidoscope World” by Francis Magalona. It can be a song cover, a dance video, a short film, or any type of creative video material—as long as it features any of the frontliners who work in Filinvest City. Christmas time is the perfect opportunity for us to reach out and come together after all the adversities the nation has faced this year and this initiative just proves that everyone has the power to ignite joy.
Aside from that, Filinvest City will also be carrying on with some of its Christmas traditions to brighten up everyone's day during the on-going pandemic. With only a few weeks left before the most wonderful time of the year arrives, the community can now marvel at dazzling Christmas decorations and magical lights already in place at the garden city, including a 30-feet Christmas tree at Spectrum Linear Park. Filinvest City’s tree-lined streets and lush corners now provide the feel of wonder this holiday season.
To spread even more joy and inspiration to the community, Filinvest City is holding a virtual Christmas celebration on December 10, 2020, at 4:30 PM via Facebook live stream. The event will be hosted by Sam YG and will feature online performances from three of the best OPM bands in the country—Silent Sanctuary, Gracenote, and Sandwich.
With the online musical experience also comes the launch of Filinvest City’s official Christmas AVP.
“We are extremely excited to once again bring the community together and cultivate hope amid unprecedented changes we are all experiencing right now,” notes Filinvest vice president for township Don Ubaldo. “The past few months have been quite challenging, and we want everyone to still see the light this Christmas season. Our main goal is to continue spreading joy and inspiring others.”
