Exceptional Pinoy heroic stories have been gathered, with over 1,500 entries submitted all over the country through online and actual submission. And now, Cobra Energy Drink invites the nation to take part in the decision-making by casting their votes on which they deem are the best Pinoy hero stories.
From August 5 to 16, Filipinos can vote for their favorite Pinoy Heroes stories either virtually by logging on to Cobra Philippines Facebook page, or through on-ground voting by visiting select mall locations, or via the Hall of Heroes on August 10 and 11 near the activity center at Robinson’s Place Manila.
“It is gratifying that we’ve met the target number of entries for this year’s Pinoy Heroes Awards,” says Abe Cipriano, AVP Marketing, Asia Brewery Philippines. “It’s inspiring to read the stories, which prove that there are many extraordinary people –who have gone beyond their calls of duty that make them heroes in their own little ways.”
The entries received will be shortlisted to the top 3 most inspiring and compelling stories per category, which are: Work Force, Youth, Service, and Modern-Day Heroes. These stories will then be showcased at the Hall of Heroes. To date, NCR has submitted the most number of entries, followed by Southern Luzon and Central Luzon.
Cobra Energy Drink has been in search for Filipinos with exemplary hero-like qualities since 2011. This story-telling project is one of Cobra’s efforts to ensure that Filipinos who have gone above and beyond their duties for nation building will be recognized and commended. This is aligned with the brand’s motto, “Lakas ng Pinas” where Cobra acknowledges that every Filipino’s action plays a role in the betterment of the country.
To read the list of stories per region, which will help you decide on whose stories should make it to the Hall of Fame, you may log on to www.facebook.com/cobraphilippines and click the Pinoy Heroes Awards app. Pinoy stories can also be shared on Facebook and Twitter to help garner more votes.
On-ground voting will simultaneously take place in the following malls from Aug 10 & 11: Robinsons Place Manila, Robinsons Bacolod, SM City Cebu, Centrio Mall Cagayan De Oro, CSI Mall Dagupan, Abreeza Mall Davao, Robinsons Place Imus, Robinsons Star Mills Pampanga, NE Mall Cabanatuan, and Southway Square Mall Zamboanga.
The 2013 Cobra Pinoy Heroes Awards has bigger prizes in store, with P150,000 for the 4 grand prize winners and P50,000 for special awards. Winning entries will be announced end of August.
