1. WHAT IS THE “EXTRAORDINARY Online Video Contest”

Thunderbird Resorts thrust is to create extraordinary experiences for its guests, giving them a luxurious vacation lifestyle with each stay at the resort. Through this online video contest - which is already becoming popular on the world wide wed - Thunderbird Resorts would like to share this experience and more.

This is also a way of saying thank you to Thunderbird Resorts supportive online fans and followers.

Share to us what makes you extraordinary and let us share to you an extraordinary experience.

2. WHO CAN JOIN?

a. Contest is open to all residents of Philippines, who are 18 years old and above.

3. HOW TO JOIN?

a.     Download registration and release forms at www.thunderbirdresorts.ph/videocontest

b.     Submit a video that answers the question: “What Makes You Extraordinary?”

c.     Upload video to Youtube and send URL/ Link to  marketing@thunderbird-asia.comThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , with the filled-up and signed Registration and Release forms.

d.     Submission of entries is from January 17, 2011 to February 28, 2011.

e.     All video entries will be screened before posting on Thunderbird Resorts Online Video Contest website.

f.      A confirmation email will be sent to the contestant, to either inform qualification or disqualification of entry

4. VIDEO ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

a. Video entry length should be a minimum of 30 seconds to a maximum of 2 minutes.

b. Mandatory Component:

c. Video must be uploaded via Youtube. Send URL/ Link to  marketing@thunderbird-asia.comThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , with the Registration and Release forms.

Uploading video on Youtube:

1. Register account at www.youtube.com; If with existing account, simply sign in.

2. Look for the Upload button on the upper right side of the screen.

3. Click Upload and Browse for the video file.

4. Provide relevant information to the video you are uploading.

5. Uploading time will depend on your file size and internet connection.

6. Wait for the video to go live.

d. All video entries will be screened before posting on Thunderbird Resorts Online Video Contest website.

e. Video entry must be the contestant’s original material and must not been used to join any other promo.

f. A participant may send a maximum of three (3) entries, but can only win once in the entire contest.

g. Must not contain inappropriate content, including but not limited to:

i.Obscene, pornographic, or sexually-explicit content or information.

ii. Materials which contain information that poses a risk to the health and safety of others

iii. Materials which show strong support or opposition to any political or religious group or person

iv. Content that is considered offensive to the users, such as those that encourage the commission of an illegal, immoral or threatening activity, promote harassment, racism, hatred or

v. discrimination against any group or individual, or provide information which you know are false, misleading, or harmful to any group or individual

vi. Materials which are defamatory or libelous in character or those which violate the privacy of any group or individual

vii. Materials which infringe upon the right of any third party, including copyright, publication right, or any other intellectual property or proprietary right, or those which promote the infringement of any party’s intellectual property rights such as providing or advocating the use of pirated music, or providing link to sites which provide it.

h. Video entry should not promote/contain another brand or product directly or indirectly competing with Thunderbird Resorts

i. The video may or may not be shot in Thunderbird Resorts Rizal or Thunderbird Resorts Poro Point. However, no video recording shall be allowed inside the casino premises.

5. VOTING PROCEDURE:

Voting period will be from March 1 to 25, 2011

How to vote:

1. Register account at www.thundebirdresorts.ph/videocontest

2.  Go to the Gallery tab

3. Choose from among the video entries.

4. Click on the video.

5. At the bottom part of the video is a Ratings Tab (represented by stars), Rate the video and this will serve as one vote.

Note: Only registered users can vote.

6. JUDGING PROCESS:

a. Winners will be chosen based on the following:

5 Most Voted Video Winners (Consolation Prizes)

The 5 video entries with the most number of online votes get the consolation prizes.

In case, the Grand Prize winning entry is also included as one of the entries with the most number of votes, the higher prize prevails.

1 Special Prize

A special prize will be given to the chosen entry shot at Thunderbird Resorts (Rizal or Poro Point), as selected by Thunderbird Resorts representatives.

b. On April 7, 2011, 10:00 AM at Thunderbird Resorts Makati Office, all entries shall be screened to get 5 finalists based on the set criteria.

c. The Grand Prize winner will be selected from the finalists. The Consolation Prize winners will be based on the five video entries with the most number of online votes. The Special Prize winner shall be selected by Thunderbird Resorts representative.

d. Judges' decision is final and binding with the concurrence of the DTI representative.

e. A participant can only win once in the entire contest. In the event more than one entry of a contestant win, the following rules shall apply:

• the entry with the higher prize shall prevail;
• if the entries win similar prizes, the entry garnering the higher rating shall prevail;

• Should the entries have the same rating, the Judges shall resort to the drawing of lots.

9. NOTIFYING WINNERS:

a. On April 14, winners will be announced via www.thunderbirdresorts.ph/videocontest website

b. Winners shall be notified thru registered mail, email and phone call either landline or mobile phone.

10. CLAIMING OF PRIZES:

a. Awarding of Prizes will be held on April 16, 2011 at Thunderbird Resorts Rizal Event Center.

b. For winners unable to claim their prizes during the April 16, 2011 awarding, may claim their prizes at Thunderbird Resorts Office located at the 24th Floor, Salcedo Towers, 169 H.V. DelaCosta St., Makati City. Prizes shall be turned over by Rachel Octavio.

c. For Grand Prize winner located in the province, cash and in-kind prizes may be claim in the property when he/she uses the vacation package prize- given the ff: (i) within the 60 days limit; (ii) prior confirmation of schedule with Thunderbird Resorts Marketing; (iii) registered mail as proof; (iv) with at least 2 valid I.D..

d. For consolation prize winners located in the province, cash prizes may be deposited to their respective bank accounts and in-kind prizes may be delivered to their home address, provided they send an email request to marketing@thunderbird-asia.comThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it containing bank account details, contact details (including home address) and with at least 2 valid I.D. attached. 

e. Winners must present valid Identification to claim the prize.

f. Prizes not claimed within 60 days shall be forfeited in favor of Thunderbird Resorts with prior DTI approval.

11. IMPORTANT:

a. All Thunderbird Resorts employees and their relatives up to the 2nd degree of consanguinity or affinity are not qualified to join the contest.

b. Thunderbird Resorts will have the rights to all submitted videos in the contest. All users will be duly acknowledged for their video entry.

c. Videos may be use for the following: Exhibit, Company’s brochures, posters, billboard, postcards, merchandise, online advertisement, website, web blogs, social networking sites, and other online marketing sites. The free usage, however, of the same by the Company for its marketing and promotions shall be limited to five (5) years. Thunderbird Resorts is not allowed to lend or sell these photos for monetary consideration.
