Time for Heart-Racing Drives: The All-New Toyota GR 86 is Here

The country’s leading mobility company Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) finally released the hotly anticipated addition to its TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (GR) lineup —the All-New Toyota GR 86.

After its first local appearance at the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Festival last July and the start of pre-orders announced during 8.6 Day last August 6, the GR 86 is now officially available in TMP’s GR Performance Dealerships nationwide, beginning August 26.

The All-New Toyota GR 86 is an exciting upgrade and a great homage to the revered Toyota 86 line. Now branded with the GR badge that celebrates Toyota’s racing spirit, the GR 86 comes in with a greater steering feedback and sharper handling, whether you’re tackling the race track or navigating everyday roads.

The All-New GR 86 is available in Automatic (A/T) and Manual (M/T) transmission variants, both perfect for the adrenaline-filled driving experience that awaits you. It features a keyless Smart Entry and Push Start systems, giving you ease and allowing you to focus on the robust performance of the vehicle.

Dominate the roads with the All-New GR 86 as it comes dashing with features that will raise your racing experience to the next level. Roaring with a hefty 2.4L 4-cylinder, horizontally-opposed, DOHC, 16-valve engine, the All-New GR 86 is a full blooded sports car ready to champion the tracks. There is no holding back with its powerful performance at 237PS and 250Nm maximum output and maximum torque—a great step up from its classic predecessor.

The All-New Toyota GR 86 comes with safety features like SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HSA), and Limited Slip Differential (LSD)—which are all safety staples in both the A/T and M/T.

Aside from these safety features, the A/T variant also comes with a GR Active Safety Suite, a combination of special safety features which includes Pre-Collision System (PCS), Automatic High Beam (AHB), Lane Departure Alert (LDA) and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC).

As the All-New GR 86 aces in racing power, it won’t back down in design as well. Drive comfortably in leather and suede seats for A/T and all-fabric for M/T. Plus, make your every turn stylish with leather steering wheel. Its striking duck tail rear spoiler and piano black outside rear view mirrors are sure head turners, along with its alloy wheels.
