“Kape Kape Muna Session” Brings Together Industry Professionals to Engage in a Meaningful Virtual Speed Networking Event

Kape Kape Muna Session” powered by Glue Up was a free virtual speed networking event that gathered professionals from different industries to build new relationships, connect with old connections, and expand their business network from August 12 to August 20 using Glue Up’s Speed Networking platform.

When the National Capital Region (NCR) followed a range of restrictive measures to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, Glue Up sought to gather industry professionals, keep them engaged, and enable them to build meaningful connections while under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

The leading all-in-one engagement software values the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR), especially in a time of chaos and crisis. For this reason, it added a CSR component to the 2-week online event to make it more meaningful than ever.

Glue Up offers innovative digital solutions to change the way people experience events. To beat the lockdown blues, “Kape Kape Muna Session” was designed to give everyone the opportunity to speak, unwind, and relax in a laid-back environment, even while drinking their favorite coffee. Participants had 25 minutes to introduce themselves, exchange business cards, and share ideas with each other during 1-on-1 video chatting sessions.

“It was a great and unique experience for me to engage in this kind of modern-day networking with the advancements of today’s innovations. I look forward to putting up more events using Glue Up’s platform,” said Neil Dimapilis, Founder of Social Media Marketing Philippines.

“I like the idea of one-on-one virtual networking. There’s more focus and we get the information directly from the person in the room. I hope this will help in my small way of sharing my experience using the platform,” said Chet Guevarra, Advertising & Promotions Head at American Chamber of Commerce Philippines.

According to Eric L. Schmidt, CEO and Co-Founder of Glue Up, the Philippine economy continues to suffer a deep recession since 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. For this reason, the company aims to create opportunities alongside challenges by connecting business builders from different industries in an age of digitalization.

“Participating in this virtual networking event allows them to share business insights, best practices, and just about anything under the sun. In this way, everyone would feel empowered in creating a better and stronger community that could help kickstart the economy,” he added.
