One Championship holds One: Destiny of Champions Open Workout in Kuala Lumpur

The largest global sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), recently held the official ONE: DESTINY OF CHAMPIONS Open Workout in Kuala Lumpur, featuring local Malaysian martial arts superstars. In attendance were ONE Championship athletes including former ONE World Title challenger Agilan “Alligator” Thani, top flyweight contender Gianni Subba, rising star Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan, and promotional newcomer “Jordan Boy” Mohammed bin Mahmoud.

Ticket information for ONE: DESTINY OF CHAMPIONS is available at www.onefc.com.

Agilan Thani, ONE Athlete, stated:

“My opponent is pretty tough. At this level, every opponent is dangerous and you can’t underestimate anybody. The welterweight division in ONE Championship is very deep and there are a lot of newcomers. I always have to make sure I am in the best shape possible. Work never stops for me. I have to do everything that I can to be considered among the best. I’ve been preparing much harder for this fight because I want to show that I still belong at the top. I’m looking forward to showcasing my skills this Friday night.”

Gianni Subba, ONE Athlete, stated:

“Ma Hao Bin is a young and strong opponent. He has a great motor behind him and great cardio. I think he’s also very aggressive. I’m excited to test my skills against him. I’ve been preparing very hard here at home in Kuala Lumpur and with the great guys over at Bali MMA. I’ve been working on everything in my game -- my striking, my wrestling, my grappling. It’s all coming together and I hope to put on a show at the Axiata Arena. I want to push the pace in this fight and look for the finish. I know my opponent is going to be doing the same so I have to be ready.”

Jihin Radzuan, ONE Athlete, stated:

“Being a ONE athlete has been a blessing for me, because I’m able to do what I love and represent my country on the global stage of martial arts competition. It’s an amazing feeling to walk down the ramp with the Malaysian flag draped across my shoulders. It’s an honor to be competing against the best in the world. This upcoming fight is going to be a good test for me. I’m facing a former ONE World Title challenger and I think it will be a great test of my skills. I can’t wait to go in there and show the results of my hard work.”

Mohammed bin Mahmoud, ONE Athlete, stated:

“I am honored to walk alongside our Malaysian heroes -- people I look up to and have supported. Even before I joined ONE Championship, I was already proud of our heroes. Now, to be able to do what they do, it’s an honor for me. I am truly grateful to ONE for giving me this opportunity. It’s a great chance for me to represent Malaysia on the global stage, which is very important to me. I consider myself a technical athlete. I always show patience in my offense and defense. Once I get a good read on my opponents, that’s when I try to look for openings and capitalize. For my first fight, I want to give the fans a good show and bring home the knockout.”
