A Hong Kong Itinerary Beyond The City – Featuring Great Outdoor Destinations From HKTB And The Ultimate BROcation

The Bros are giving us more insightful and authentic experiences in Hong Kong. The popular five-episode reality series The Ultimate BROcation, presented by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and entertainment channel KIX, is highlighting new adventures for Filipino travelers.
Take some cues from the four male celebrity “bros”, including the Philippines’ very own Billy Crawford, who are always up for exhilarating and unique experiences. Just like the bros who are always out to discover every hidden gem in Hong Kong, you can go from Hong Kong’s vibrant city streets to explore its pristine sandy beaches, mountain paths, and quaint villages.

Escape to Hong Kong’s beaches for a refreshing retreat from the city and find a new side of Hong Kong just like the bros did. Follow the lead of the bros and check out the exhilarating Flyboarding activity at Deep Water Bay and see for yourself why this is a bro-approved experience.
Another perfect getaway is Repulse Bay, a crescent-shaped island considered as one of the most beautiful beaches in Hong Kong. There you’ll also find the chic al fresco rooftop terrace bar Cabana where you can dine and party in style like the bros.
Redefine fun and try your hand at playing soccer with a twist. Bumperman, located in Kwun Tong, adds a creative spin on soccer by encasing each player in an air-filled bubble or a Bumperball. The bros surely enjoyed gearing up for their round of “Bubble Soccer” and you and your friends or family will definitely get a kick out of this, too.
Apart from the outdoor activities done by the bros, there’s still a lot more of Hong Kong’s natural heritage to see and discover, like a local. Start by visiting UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site, the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark. This sprawling park showcases Hong Kong’s timeless and beautiful structures and is distributed across two regions – the Sai Kung Volcanic Rock region and the Northeast New Territories Sedimentary Rock region. Take advantage of the guided tours which can whisk you away to surrounding islands, hiking excursions on the best trails, and a chance at wildlife spotting.

Go on another adventure through the MacLehose Trail, named as one of the World’s Best Hikes by National Geographic and a Certificate of Excellence recipient from TripAdvisor. Experience the side of Hong Kong which shows you nature’s works of art like sea caves, sea stacks, hexagonal rock columns and dikes. Marvel at the most wonderful geological sites as you go on this leisurely walk.
Bring your family and friends to Lamma Island and indulge in the magnificent views of Aberdeen, Repulse Bay and Ocean Park. Check out the wide variety of seafood the island is famous for, plus its turquoise coves, traditional fishing villages and environment-friendly wind turbines.
As Hong Kong celebrates its 20th anniversary of their region establishment, 20th Anniversary Coupon Booklets are available, where visitors utilize discounts and freebies to Hong Kong attractions until October 31, 2017. Participating merchants include the top must-sees in the city such as Hong Kong DisneylandMadame TussaudsOcean Park Hong Kong and sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck. Grab your own coupon booklet from Hong Kong International Airport, HKTB visitor centers and hotels in HK.
If you’re looking for more Hong Kong adventures, watch out for The Ultimate BROcation on ABS CBN Sports + Action every Thursday at 6PM with weekly reruns starting on May 25 and again on June 26.
