JCI Manila kicks off 6th RVR Award for Nation Building

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Manila, in partnership with the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) launches the sixth consecutive year of the Ramon V. Del Rosario (RVR) Award for Nation Building.

The RVR Awards was launched in 2009 to recognize individuals who exemplify outstanding corporate citizenship and a passion for nation-building. The premier awards program of JCI Manila, its goal is to increase awareness about responsible citizenship and the pursuit of progress among entrepreneurs, businessmen, and professionals.



The award was named in honor of Ramon V. Del Rosario, founder of Philippine Investment and Management Consultants (PHINMA) and the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP). He also distinguished himself as a man of firsts. He is the founder of Filoil, the first Filipino-owned oil company, the first national president of JCI Manila, and the first Asian world president of JCI.

2010 - Senen Bacani
2011 - Oscar Lopez
2012 - Washington Sycip

2013 - Vicente Paterno
2014 - Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala
In keeping with his legacy, the award seeks to honor outstanding men and women in business that inspire the next generation of professionals and business owners through traits such as entrepreneurial spirit, national or global impact of business, corporate citizenship, and social responsibility. Previous recipients of the RVR Awards are Ambassador Jesus Tambunting and Senen Bacani, Oscal Lopez, Washington Sycip, Vicente Paterno, and last year’s awardee, Jaime Zobel de Ayala.

Nominations of qualified candidates are now open and can be submitted by any person, organization, or institution following the criteria for the award. The Award Committee comprises members of JCI Manila and AIM’s RVR Center for CSR. The recipient of the 2015 RVR Award will be announced in the 3rd quarter of 2015.
