Music Museum’s Christmas lights ceremony sets Theater Mall and Promenade areas ablaze

Lights up at Theatre Mall and Promenade

The tradition of lighting Christmas trees dates back to the XVIIth century. Candles were used to light The Tree, until the first Christmas tree lit by electric lights went up in New York City in 1882 with just 80 small electric light bulbs. It was Edward Johnson who created the first string of electric lights that became popular in the 1900s to light up Christmas homes.

Today, Christmas lights and Christmas displays have come a long way. Thousands of lights with various effects make Christmases bright everywhere. Catch the dazzling Christmas lights display at the Theater Mall and the Promenade at Greenhills Shopping Center that were turned on in an equally dazzling ceremony last November 15.

Music Museum Group, Inc. President Precy M. Florentino (fifth from left) and German “Kuya Germs” Moreno (fourth from left) led the “Lights On” ritual in the company of young Kapuso stars (L-R) Teejay Marquez, Sharmaine Santiago, Hiro Peralta, Louise de los Reyes, Jake Vargas and Sanya Lopez at the New Promenade lobby. One click on the light switch set the entire Music Museum, Theater Mall, Promenade and Teatrino complex ablaze.
