Whirlpool honors mothers with Mother’s Day event

A mother and child cooking competition, a series of cooking demonstrations, lots of free gifts, pampering treats, and exciting raffle prizes was how Whirlpool, the world’s leading manufacturer of quality home appliances, celebrated Mother’s Day.

The event, entitled “Whirlpool Mommy & Me Foodfest”, was an afternoon of thanksgiving and celebration as Whirlpool honored Whirlpool moms everywhere and took the opportunity to thank and give back to these women who have supported and trusted the brand.

Mercedita Madrona and son Gratian were declared the winners of the culinary competition, while Regina Berberabe with son Dominic and Mary Ann Viray with daughter Aviana bagged the second and third prizes, respectively.

“We all know that motherhood is a full-time job, which is why it has been our passion at Whirlpool to make home life better especially for these women,” said Joy Catiis-Cruz, Marketing Manager of Whirlpool in the Philippines.  “We want to make their lives easier and more convenient so they can have more quality time with their families.”

For over 100 years, bringing families closer together through superior household products has been the concept by which Whirlpool staunchly abides to.  Whirlpool has for years ingrained its family-oriented concept in each of its world-class products which is why every Whirlpool washing machine, refrigerator and cooking appliance provides outstanding quality, unparalleled durability and advanced technology.  Whirlpool has become among the very few brands Filipinos trust.  Our aim is to bring Whirlpool to every home not only here in the Philippines but also to the whole world.  "We want to bring ease and comfort to every family everywhere through our products,” concluded Cruz.

With their excellent performance tested through the years, no wonder that Whirlpool products have become an essential part of every Filipino home.
