Flourish Pilipinas is a campaign that encourages, recognizes and celebrates Filipino student pastry chefs and pastry professionals who are committed to nurturing flour- based Pinoy delicacies either through time-tested traditions or bold innovations.
Flourish Pilipinas also seeks to promote Philippine tourism through its varied, unique, and delicious flour-based delicacies.
Flourish Pilipinas encourages chefs, restaurateurs, bakeshop owners and operators, food technicians, culinary students, and other food professionals to integrate locally available ingredients to their flour-based products and delicacies.
After the successful Bakery Fair 2013 last February, Universal Robina Corporation (URC), brings to us a competition like no other.
Winner wins the following : Php 10,000 in cash, one (1) KitchenAide K45 Mixer, Medal, Trophy and supply of participating products + feature in URC’s Calendar
All contestants must submit their own original recipe. Forms may be downloaded form the Official Fanpage of URC Flourish Pilipinas or the URC Flourish website. All recipes must be emailed to operations@dtc.com.ph Likewise, contestant may submit their recipe directly to the URC Flourish Fanpage. After submission, URC Flour will test out recipes and pick out:
Two (2) Globe Award finalists from each location (GMA, Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao)
Two (2) Sampaguita Award finalists from each location (GMA, Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao)
Two (2) Daisy Award finalists from each location (GMA, Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao)
DEADLINE OF ENTRY SUBMISSIONS:
From GMA and Luzon: April 30, 2013
From Visayas and Mindanao: May 31, 2013
BAKE-OFF COMPETITIONS:
GMA (Manila) : June 15, 2013
Luzon (Baguio) : July 6
Visayas (Cebu) : July 27
Mindanao (Davao) : August 10
Where applicable, URC Flour shall provide the transportation, food and accommodations of qualified finalists in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. URC Flour shall cover only the transportation, food and accommodations of a qualified finalist in a URC designated hotel.
