The Votes are In! - Multiply Origination Awards

30 Most Original and Creative Finds in E-Commerce Revealed
The Multiply Origination Awards shortlists 30 outstanding products in the e-commerce space
 
The year’s top e-commerce products have been identified and now is the start of judging and voting on which ones stand out from the rest.
The Multiply Origination Awards has narrowed down 2012’s most outstanding local products in fashion, food and beverage, and home and family care available on the Multiply Philippines website. From almost 1,000 nominations, Multiply has shortlisted 30 local products that represent outstanding originality and creativity in the e-commerce space.
They will be reviewed by a panel of authorities in the world of e-commerce, and entrepreneurship and judged for the strength and innovativeness of the product concept, perceived value and marketability.
The judges for Multiply Origination: the Call to be a Business Stand-Out are GoNegosyo Founder and RFM Corp. CEO and President Joey Concepcion; Sulit.com.ph Co-founder and Managing Director RJ David; BDO’s Sr. AVP for E-Commerce Lending Cofa Gutierrez; Multiply.com Philippines Country Manager Jack Madrid; and Chuvaness.com founder and lifestyle blogger Cecile Van Straten.
Chosen as finalists for their Original Fashion Forward Idea are the following: Honey Badger Bags of Honey Baby; Manila Sole Shoes of Manila Sole; Cabo Feather Maillot of Soak Swimwear; Macy Satchel, The Weekend Bag and Smart Passport Folio of The School of Satchel; Butter Tint of Bare Naturals; Under the Sea Charm Bracelet of Trinkets For Keeps; Customizable Wire Hangers of Anagon Collection; and USB Camera Necklace of Tuesday Freya.
Identified as the year’s Most Original Gourmand Idea finalists are Chuco Portrait of Chuco Art; Enchanted Hand-tied Purple Bouquet and Paris Halloween Treat Basket of Sweet Blooms; Pineapple Vinegar and Crispy Tahong of World Fair Trade Asia; Trigona Sugar Bag of Milea Bee Farm; Cake Clothes Line Design of Sweet Success; Decorated Cake with 3D Designs of Cake Avenue Bakeshop; Dainty Vanilla I Love You Cookies of Kela’s Kitchen and Keepers; and 60% South Cotabato-Coco Regular Mini Crave of Risa Chocolate.
Lastly, the Most Original Mommy Management Idea finalists are namely Hoot Hats of Honey Baby; Sniffles Balm of Milea Bath and Body Wellness Essentials; Mommy Patch Anti-Mosquito Rescue Sticks of Mommy Patch; BCV Tank Top, Momease Diaperbag Converter and Mommy Mundo’s Mom 24/7 2012 Planner of Mommy Matters; The Proud Mama Reversible Nursing Cover and Tee Hee Shirts of Proud Mama Store; and Shoo Fly Insect Repellant Home Spray of Indigo.


Aside from the judges’ scores, the public was also invited to vote for their favorite Original product online at http://origination.multiply.com/#8. Online voting happened last December 1 to December 20, 2012 and will contribute 30% to the final score of each finalist.

The three winners of the Multiply Origination Award will receive an Online Business Package worth P200,000.  The Online Business Package includes essential tools to promote the merchants’ existing online business, including a Samsung Galaxy SIII, a Cherry Superion Tablet, Smart Bro Pocket Wifi, a Gold Package from Sulit.com.ph worth P100,000, digital advertising and billboard exposure care of Multiply.com and more. Reveal of winners will be on January 14, 2013.
A first of its kind in the Philippines, the Multiply Origination Awards aims to recognize original ideas in the e-commerce space. “Multiply has been the home of Filipino online entrepreneurs, and witness to the inventiveness and ingenuity of Filipino internet merchants, and our platform has been host to some of the most original products we have ever seen; it is only appropriate that we recognize our talented and creative Merchants,” said Multiply Philippines Country Manager Jack Madrid.

The Multiply Origination Awards is presented by Multiply.com in partnership with Smart Money and Sulit.com.ph.
