AntiGravity Yoga is now in the Philippines

AntiGravity Yoga finally in the Philippines

Having made its mark across the United States and over 40 countries worldwide, AntiGravity® Yoga, the routine that has revolutionized fitness, is finally coming to Manila.

Who knew you could lose weight while defying the laws of gravity? In an AntiGravity® Yoga class, students are suspended in a silk hammock above the ground while stretching and working core muscles. The technique is a combination of yoga poses coupled with acrobatics, calisthenics, and pilates.

AntiGravity® Yoga was developed by Christopher Harrison, founder of the acrobatic performance company by the same name, with the mission of merging yoga, athletics and artistry. Today, the technique has gained a tremendous following, having over 6,000 daily practitioners in over 52 locations worldwide.

"AntiGravity® Yoga has become so popular worldwide that there are already similar classes available," says Alex Schlempp, Managing Partner of AntiGravity® Yoga.

“We’d like Filipinos to experience the real AntiGravity® class, which is backed by over ten years of research with acrobats and professional dancers,” he adds.  Additionally, the program is the only of its kind accredited by international fitness certification agencies, AFAA, ACE and CYQ.

Beyond Yoga, the country’s premiere yoga studio, is AntiGravity® Yoga’s exclusive Philippine partner. Anna Carbonell, Beyond Yoga’s co-founder and certified AntiGravity® Yoga instructor says, “AntiGravity® Yoga brings the magic and fun to yoga. We are sure that men and women, young or old, will enjoy this new routine.”   While fun and effective, AntiGravity® Yoga also is therapeutic, ensuring that each participant is the recipient of its proven health benefits.  AntiGravity® Yoga alleviates back pain and mild depression among many benefits.  It’s unique trademarked sequences of inversions help with spinal decompression, while putting zero compression on the joints.

Worried that you might not be too flexible or physically fit? “Anyone can do AntiGravity® Yoga! It is a good routine even for those who are not flexible because your poses are supported by a silk hammock. We’re sure you’ll keep coming back for more,” adds Carbonell.

Beyond Yoga is the country’s premiere studio offering yoga and dance classes. Beyond Yoga is located at the 3rd Floor, Il Terrazzo, Tomas Morato corner Scout Madrinian Street, Quezon City.
