After 127 hours , it's good to be alive

A mountain climber becomes trapped under a boulder while canyoneering alone near Moab, Utah and resorts to desperate measures in order to survive.

127 Hours is the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston's remarkable adventure to save himself after a fallen boulder crushes his arm and traps him in an isolated canyon in Canyonlands National Park of Utah. Over the next five days, Ralston examines his life and survives the elements to finally discover he has the courage and the wherewithal to extricate himself by any means necessary, abseil a 65-foot wall and hike over eight miles before he is finally rescued. Throughout his journey, Ralston recalls friends, lovers (Clémence Poésy), family, and the two hikers (played by Amber Tamblyn and Kate Mara) he met before his accident.

My review on the film.  Admittedly the film is indeed very powerful, showcasing humanity at its finest.  How one can survive the harshest of conditions and lived to tell the tale.  As I can see it, human instincts came into play and the will to survive conquered it all.  James Franco plays Aron Ralston, is perfect for the role, he displays the authenticity of the emotions, the drama, the depression and the sanity that envelopes Aron.  He has developed to be one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood and with an Award Nominating performance here, this is definitely worth your time.

It may have its dull moments as that particular scene would last up to 80% of the movie, but for what it's worth, it is definitely one story of triumph for humanity.

127 Hours is now showing at your favorite movie theaters, catch the drama, feel the anxiety, and relive the human spirit.  Brought to us by 20th Century Fox.
