My new toy...my very own 3G mobile wifi router

At this day and age, ask yourself, how often do you go online.  And now with all the gadgets that you have, Ipad wifi, Itouch, cellphones, laptops, netbooks, it really is a pain looking for free wifi.  If it is just possible to be online all the time, and everywhere with a good plan and a good price then why wouldn't you right?
Now to satisfy our need to be online all the time, we got an unlimited 3G data plan so that we could connect our gadgets and be online.  But, here comes the problem, you only can connect your USB stick to either your laptop or netbook, and in our case we have wifi phones which we would like to use since it is very handy unlike netbooks which though small are still bulky. And how could you stick your USB 3G to your phone right?  Glad to say that technology has found its way and the 3G mobile wifi router is born.
I have been looking for this gadget for quite sometime and found some options, one of which is the Hwawei mobile 3G router series which ranges from P5,500 to P6,000.  It is a good find since you only use your data sim to connect to the net, very portable and small, just like a cellphone.  But considering the price I found this CDR King 3G Mobile wireless broadband more practical at a price of only P2,880 it is a real steal! You can connect at most 5 gadgets, with a rechargeable battery pack and you can connect it via an adaptor, you can connect to your home DSL connection and serve as your reserve router in case yours would fail.  Lastly what is best about this? I can share it with my friends on a non wifi spot just like here where I'm making this post...

Be connected, buy now... stocks are quite limited.

  2. I think it lasts up to 4 hours on a single charge, but it still depends on usage. More users-more drain. Here is a link to the review by sir Yuga

It costs around 5.5k-7k for unlocked units, and can be bought at some electronic stores. Sun, Globe and Smart offers some postpaid plans where they breakdown cost of unit per month/one time fee.
Although currently, Globe is the only one which offers one for prepaid accounts (locked to them)
Personally, I'm waiting for prices to drop down, which they will surely do because of all the competition.
