Catch the latest arcade action flick to hit the movie screens.  And watch Milla Jovovich kick zombie butts in Resident Evil : Afterlife in 3D at your favorite movie houses.  Also available in regular screens.

We were invited to a special advance screening by SM Cinemas and SM Cyberzone at SM Megamall to showcase the latest in the Resident Evil action movie franchise.  I was really looking forward to this movie as I love the first 2 movies of this franchise, the 3rd one kinda left me, so I was excited to see how this 4th installment would turn out, what's nice is it's available in 3D.  Sad to say though that we were only gonna view the 2D version.

The movie starts with another infection in one of the mega cities of the Umbrella Corporation, who was responsible for the T-Virus that ravaged the Earth and turned everyone into flesh eating zombies, which had mutated by the 2nd and 3rd installment to become the present zombies, more powerful and still a little low on the intelligence part.  I would not like to spoil too much.  All  can say is that, the movie is definitely made for the 3D screen.  There are quite a lot of action scenes that I would like to relate to but you have to see to find out.

There were a lot of cut scenes due to the rating here so that it could be shown to younger audiences as well.  And about the action scenes, wish there were less slow motions so that the audience could feel the impact of the movie, but I guess it was primarily targetted at the 3D movie audiences... I cannot speak for the 3D version since I was not able to watch it in that format.  But maybe, just maybe I might watch it in 3D format.  Well, that being said, it was still a hell of a ride.

My recommendation, watch it in 3D to feel more of the excitement.  And one more thing it is not for the kids.  So scrap this off the weekend out with the kids.
