Knight and Day... movie review

Since it was a weekend, I decided to do a little movie marathon.... first up Knight and Day.  Starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz as lead characters of the movie.

Roy Miller (portrayed by "Tom Cruise") is a secret agent for the government, who is working beneath the covers protecting a government asset and an invention that is a perpetual energy source battery called the "Zephyr" that could change the whole world.  Thus, to protect the so called secret device, he chances on June Havens (protrayed by "Carmeron Diaz") and uses her as a way to get pass security check from the airport.  Not knowing, June has the hots for Roy's irresistible charm.  What comes afterwards is an action filled, comedic instances and lots of being "drugged", you'll see what I mean when you watch the movie.

Cruise and Diaz were not the first choice for the title roles for this movie, but I am sure glad they took the roles.  They have great chemistry working together, since they have had worked together in "Vanilla Sky".  The movie is filled with car chases, motorcycle chases, name it they have it, even a bull chase scene, now that is something new.

Yes, you will get your adrenaline rush in this movie, the plot is ok. Cruise and Diaz did their acting well.  Tom Cruise has been quite the only actor fitting to play any secret agent role in the US pool of actors, he does it well and what I love about him. He does his own stunts, not all of them of course, but the most common action scenes.  He sinks into his roles very much and is always a 100%.  Even though age does become a factor, he never ceases to amaze me on how he keeps his young looks.  Diaz, on the other hand is always a joy to watch.  She definitely is a natural when it comes to comedies and blends well also on action movies.  She has her share of the action on this one.  Credits to her previous projects especially with the Angels.

Overall, I love the action sequences, the explosions, the chases but I just hope there was more time to elaborate on the background of the story on how it was made up, how Cruise ended up running and many more things.  Anyways, it was a good ride though and you will get your feed of Cruise action.
