Kick Ass the movie review.....

Have been watching the trailer of this film for quite sometime... thinking I have to watch this flick, it sure will be lots of fun to see funny superhero wannabe stuff..... but was I dead wrong!!!

Have not the privilege to browse over this particular comic book series, I was glad to have been given the chance to review this movie. If you are not a comic book fan of Kick-Ass, and don't know what the movie is all about. That, your perceptions of this movie with the showing of many of their trailers, you would think how cool this movie would be for the kids to watch and enjoy on a weekend out......

Then you are mistaken....

Kick-Ass is what comic fans want how the comic strip should be done in movies..... bloody, violent with a pinch of comedy and definitely Kick-Ass.

Adapted from Mark Millar's hyper-violent comic book of the same title.... Kick-Ass tells how ordinary human beings and teens for this case, stood up to fight for the cause of the helpless and for the greater good of humanity.  But in the case of these so called superheroes, none of them had any power like any superhero should have... all they have is guts, and an arsenal of fighting skills.
Kick-Ass is Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), an ordinary with no skills at all decides to wear a suit and fight crime thinking it would be cool... not knowing what reality has in store for him.  Before long, Kick-Ass has become an international sensation via the world wide web and many thanks to Youtube, and others are following his lead. Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) and Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz) are a father-daughter crime-fighting duo who have set their sights on local mob heavy Frank D'Amico (Mark Strong).  What sets in is an action packed, adrenalin rushed movie!!

Kick-Ass and Red Mist
Aaron Johnson as Dave/Kick-Ass, Chloe Grace Moretz as Mindy/Hit Girl and Nicolas Cage as Damon/Big Daddy
Chloe Grace Moretz as Mindy/Hit Girl

I am not a comic book fan, I am a superhero fan.  They are not superheroes, they are just dressed like one..... but I love them..... these so called superheroes do pack a punch on their sleeves..... what I love the most? Hit Girl!!!.... I think I'm in love with her... Chloe Grace Moretz portrays Mindy / Hit Girl, in my opinion she plays the perfect role for this character, aggressive, witty, dangerous.

Chloe Grace Moretz is also the nerdy kid that makes the school newspaper in "Diary of a Wimpy Kid".  Her role here as Hit Girl is by far her biggest stepping stone to a better career ahead... I love her moves and her face donned in her mask.. with those lovable facial expressions.  I can assure you, she will go far with her career. As for the movie itself two words KICK ASS!!!

Word of advise..... this film is PG13. I advised though not to bring kids along for this movie..... it is purely adult fun. Violence and a little sex related scenes will be more than you can bargain for.  I would say teens at least above 16 would be ok.  Enjoy the Movies!!

Kick-Ass is distributed by Viva International Pictures
